Artist Statement
"Heart of the Ocean" is a story of my six years dancing journey. The initial stage is a self-portrait that morphs into a tumultuous ocean, with dark hues and tangled sea creatures depicting my early struggles. Transitioning to the second stage, my body figures signify the relentless repetition in mastering my moves, emphasizing my improvement and determination. The finale, the portrayal of the necklace "Heart of the Ocean", symbolizes my awakening to true passion and the importance of self-growth through the six years, urging all to find one's heart's deepest callings. I printed the long piece on velvet, a fabric that symbolizes preciousness, illustrating the value of passion and a testament of my journey.
