Artist Statement
Fresh off the boat, I found myself standing in a foreign drug mart. There, I captured a picture of the snacks and sent it to my family group chat. I used saturated colors to represent my excited mood at that time, wishing to convey my moment of anticipation of the future life to the audience. I focused on the details of the snacks and words in order to express my remarkable memory more realistically.
